Munich’s underground music scene is about to welcome a powerful new force with DARK SOLSTICE, a band that captures the dark and brooding essence of metal, drawing inspiration from legends like Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, and Dark Funeral.
Band Members
Jonathan Rittirsch: Having lent his powerful voice to Michael’s previous projects, Jonathan takes on the role of lead vocalist, bringing his intense and captivating vocal style to the band.
Michael “RISTRIDI” Wöß: Known for his work with Agathodaimon and his YouTube channel, Michael brings his songwriting prowess and guitar skills to DARK SOLSTICE. He is also a sound engineer and music producer, with a YouTube channel featuring over 300 videos and 23,000 subscribers.
Jakob Burde: Formerly of the Munich Death Metal group Hailstone, Jakob brings his intense drumming style to DARK SOLSTICE. His experience with Hailstone has honed his skills, making him a formidable force behind the drums.
Maurice Gerczuk: A longtime friend of Michael, Maurice handles the bass with precision and passion, adding depth and groove to the band’s sound.
Alexander Meyer: Once a member of the Thrash Metal group Engera, Alexander plays Rhythm Guitar, adding complexity and richness to the band’s sound.
The music of DARK SOLSTICE delves deep into dark lyrical themes, exploring the demise of our planet and society, as well as melancholy and personal battles against depression. Their first EP is set to be released in 2025, and fans can look forward to haunting live performances that promise to be as intense and captivating as their music.
